Ryan Recker put together almost as many picture perfect strikes as he would photos of an event that you may need him to photo-shoot for you.

The would-be photographer rolled games of 245 and 223 and got help from newcomer Marcus McGee who had games of 245 and 197 in his first high school match. When you weigh in the return of Westin Young to the team — the T-Birds have become stronger.

James Riepenhoff had another solid morning with a 396 set but it was his leadership on this day that was even more noticed.

LCC actually trailed in the match after the traditional games by 15 pins but came roaring back in the bakers, averaging just a little under 200 for those five “team” games for the victory.

On the girls side:

LCC continues to struggle at 0-4 but the Thunderbirds may have had a turnaround at Van Wert as well. Cecilia Riepenhoff rolled games of 200 and 173 in a narrow loss against Celina. Jena Johnston gave support as well Saturday so perhaps a turnaround is near.
