James Riepenhoff didn’t have his best stuff on Saturday in the state bowling tournament, but that does not diminish at all the fantastic year that James has authored in his senior year. It’s a great accomplishment to make it to state in one sport, but James was able to pull off a double and qualify in both golf and bowling! After providing great play and senior leadership during the golf season, leading that team into the state tournament and on to a fifth-place team finish, James followed that accomplishment up with an incredible bowling season. James finished the year with the 8th highest average in the league with a 199 average and a high game of 275. And while bowling well enough to qualify for the state tournament as an individual, he almost did enough to lead another team to a state appearance as the T-Birds fell just 35 pins short. So let’s hear it for a fantastic performance on both fronts for senior James Riepenhoff, who pulled off an incredible double and was able to represent the T-Birds down in Columbus twice!!!
