 web1_LCC-Invite-RP-002DSCF0330TROY — Lima Central Catholic’s Hunter Lucas (120 pounds) and Ottawa-Glandorf’s Daniel Beemer (182) each won titles in the Division III district Saturday at Hobart Arena.

Bluffton’s Blake Sampson (285) and Parkway’s Peyton Hamrick (182) each finished second. Ada’s Chase Sumner (132) and Brett Vonderwell (160) of Delphos St. John’s were each third. Also earning spots at the state tournament with fourth-pace finishes were LCC’s Kobe Cunningham (113), Coldwater’s Spencer Seibert (145) and Delphos Jefferson’s Hunter Binkley (170).

Coldwater had the high team score among Lima area teams, finishing in a time with Troy Christian with 69 points each. Mechnicsburg had the highest total with 192.5 points. LCC (58.5 points) finished in the tie for eighth with Dixie.

State tournament Division III matches are scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. Thursday at Ohio State’s Jerome Schottenstein Center in Columbus.
